Microbes

Without them we cannot grow great vegetables, build carbon or store water in the soil effectively. We need more of them!

Trees

Stabilise the land, protect animals, minimise evaporation and pump carbon into the soil

Soil

Feed the soil with nutrients and organic matter, this will help grow the soil and we will grow with it!

Insects

Great pollinators, maintain balance and harmony across the system. We want to see more beetles and bees

Weeds

Great plants to indicate system issues, help with rectifying imbalances and are a brilliant source of free mineral supplier's

Grasses

We aim to have a diverse range of grasses. With the harsh climate here we are finding that the native grasses seem to succeed far better if they are maintained correctly

Water

Hydrology is something that we used to look at in the creek and gullies only but since completing the Natural Sequence Farming course, we understand the whole farm system is a potential water source
