Italian Purple

****Discontinued cultivar**** the growing conditions at our property have not matched those for this cultivar and we regrettably will not be growing it in the future. Also known as Early Purple. A strong flavoured garlic brought into Australia by Italian migrants. We are having some troubles with this variety. It has been grown in a cool climate for two years and then we moved it to the coast for one year and this year it is back in a cool climate. The plan was to keep it in a coastal climate, but since we sold that place we are back trying to grow it in a cool climate where it hasn't succeeded as well previously. Maybe one more go next season?
